There are several symptoms that can help diagnose an individual with ADHD. Including, but not limited to: fails to pay close attention to details or makes careless mistakes at work, school, etc. Has difficulty paying attention to activities at work or school. May come off as aloof; in other words, not paying full attention when being spoken to directly. Blurting out the answers, finding difficulty waiting for their turn, intervening constantly, or talking excessively can also provide symptoms for identifying ADHD. On top of this, several more conditions must be met: the symptoms must be present before the age of 12, symptoms must be present in at least two settings (work, school, etc), brazen evidence said symptoms affect an individual's ability to work and pay attention to a task, and finally, cannot be explained by another disorder.
