You know, it’s funny how often that happens—you meet someone who seems so warm and open at first, and then things just... shift. It can feel confusing, even a little disorienting. Sometimes, people show their best side early on because they want to be liked or they’re genuinely excited about a new connection. But as time goes on, real life kicks in—stress, expectations, maybe even misunderstandings—and that initial friendliness fades. It doesn’t always mean they were being fake; sometimes it’s just that the “honeymoon phase” of the friendship wore off. Have you noticed if there’s a specific pattern? Like certain topics that trigger tension or moments when one of you feels unheard? A lot of relationship struggles come down to mismatched expectations or poor communication. Maybe they assumed the friendship would be one way, and you saw it differently. It might help to gently bring it up—not in an accusing way, but more like, “Hey, I’ve noticed things feel a little off between us lately. Is everything okay?” Opening that door can clear the air and help you both understand what’s really going on.
