MakeChoice Village

AI is training itself every day.
Who’s training the humans?

AI is rewriting how we work, learn, love, and decide, faster than any change in history. MakeChoice Village is a real-world park where people build the skills no machine can replace: judgment, purpose, resilience, and real connection.

Built on real data about human choices and transformations, collected since 2010.

This isn’t the future. It’s already here.

AI is reaching into the parts of life that make us human.

40%
of jobs worldwide are exposed to AI, and about 60% in advanced economies like the US
IMF, 2024
39%
of workers’ core skills are expected to change or become outdated by 2030

72%
of US teens have used an AI companion, and about 1 in 3 has chosen AI over a person for a serious conversation

Where these numbers come from

The scary part isn’t the robots

It’s what quietly happens to people when machines do the thinking, the talking, and the deciding.

๐Ÿง

We stop thinking

When every answer is one prompt away, the effort that builds judgment disappears. Skills we don’t use, we lose.

๐Ÿ’ผ

We lose our sense of purpose

For many people, work is identity. When a job changes overnight, the hardest part isn’t the paycheck. It’s “Who am I now?”

๐Ÿ’ฌ

We trade people for programs

An AI friend never argues, never needs anything, and is always available. Real relationships start to feel like too much work.

๐ŸŽญ

We can’t tell what’s real

Cloned voices, fake videos, and feeds tuned to keep us scrolling. Trust in what we see and hear is eroding.

๐ŸŽฏ

Our choices get made for us

Algorithms already decide what we watch, buy, and believe. Every choice we hand over makes the next one easier to hand over.

๐Ÿง’

Kids grow up without the practice

Boredom, awkward conversations, solving problems the hard way: that’s where children build resilience. AI can remove all of it.

AI won’t take away our humanity in one dramatic moment. It will happen one small, convenient choice at a time, unless we practice choosing differently.

One choice, two futures

Same AI, same person. The difference is who stays in charge.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Tap a story to see both paths

โ„๏ธ Snowball

  1. Uses AI to write every essay and solve every problem
  2. Grades look great, so why struggle?
  3. Freezes in an exam, an interview, a real conversation
  4. “I’m not smart without it”
  5. Enters adulthood unable to think through hard problems alone

๐ŸŒŠ Melt

  1. Tries first, then uses AI to check and explain
  2. Asks AI “why”, not just “what’s the answer”
  3. Practices explaining ideas out loud to real people
  4. Builds confidence from things they figured out
  5. Becomes the person who directs the AI, not the one replaced by it

โ„๏ธ Snowball

  1. 15 years in the same role; AI now does most of it
  2. Laid off, and tells no one at first
  3. “I’m obsolete” replays every night
  4. Withdraws from friends; drinking to cope
  5. Family strain, and hopelessness sets in

๐ŸŒŠ Melt

  1. Names it out loud: “My job changed. I didn’t lose my worth.”
  2. Maps strengths AI can’t copy: trust, judgment, people skills
  3. Talks to a counselor and leans on community
  4. Learns to use AI as a tool in a new role
  5. Finds purpose that isn’t tied to one job title

โ„๏ธ Snowball

  1. Lonely teen starts chatting with an AI companion
  2. It always agrees and is always there
  3. Real friends feel harder, so stops reaching out
  4. Shares secrets with an app instead of a parent
  5. Deeper isolation, with no one noticing the warning signs

๐ŸŒŠ Melt

  1. Notices “I talk to the app more than to people”
  2. Uses AI to rehearse a hard conversation, then has it for real
  3. Joins one in-person group or activity
  4. Tells one trusted adult how they really feel
  5. Learns that real connection is messy, and worth it

โ„๏ธ Snowball

  1. Phone rings: a grandchild’s voice, crying, “I need help”
  2. Panic takes over, with no time to think
  3. Sends money right away, as told
  4. The voice was an AI clone
  5. Savings gone, and shame keeps them silent

๐ŸŒŠ Melt

  1. Pauses: urgency is the scammer’s favorite tool
  2. Asks for the family code word
  3. Hangs up and calls back on a known number
  4. Reports it and warns friends
  5. Turns fear into a habit: stop, verify, then act

The solution

Why a real park is the answer to a digital problem

You can’t fix screen-made problems with another screen. Human skills are built the way muscles are: with practice, in person, with other people.

๐Ÿค– What AI gives us

  • Instant answers
  • Endless content picked for us
  • Companions with no friction
  • Decisions made in the background

๐Ÿž๏ธ What the Village gives back

  • The practice of thinking things through
  • Clarity about what you want
  • Face-to-face connection, conflict, and repair
  • Choices you make, and own

The MakeChoice Village layout

MakeChoice Village site plan: Motivation Center, Choice Huts, Choice Mirror, and Counseling Center
Visitors move through four stops, each one a gym for a skill AI can’t replace.

A gym for the skills AI can’t replace

๐Ÿ’ก Motivation Center Against: losing purposeDefine what matters to you: family, health, peace, contribution. Your purpose shouldn’t depend on a job title an algorithm can erase.
๐Ÿ  Choice Huts Against: outsourced thinkingHands-on challenges in the Air, Water, Fire, and Earth huts, where you solve real problems with real people and no answer button.
๐Ÿชž Choice Mirror Against: being profiled by algorithmsSee yourself as you really are: your patterns, your strengths, your next step. Not the version of you a feed has built.
๐Ÿฉบ Counseling Center Against: trading people for programsWhen life gets hard, a trained human listens. In person, and by telehealth follow-up.

Who it’s for: students and parents, workers facing change, seniors targeted by scams, and anyone who feels the world is moving too fast.

Human data, human-first technology

We’re not against AI. We’re for people who stay in charge of it.

What AI can’t copy

Real human choices, tracked since 2010

Most AI learns from what people write online. Ours draws on a proprietary dataset built since 2010 that connects personality, the choices people actually made, and how their lives changed afterward.

  • Behavior, not opinions: what people did and what happened next, not what the internet says.
  • Hard to replicate: more than a decade of data can’t be scraped or generated by a chatbot.
  • Grounded guidance: what worked for people like you, in situations like yours.
  • It suggests, you decide. Choice Rx on MakeChoice.org shows options that worked for people like you. The choice is always yours.
  • Coach, not crutch. Our tools ask you to reflect and act, not just consume answers.
  • Private by design. No Google or Facebook tracking. Sign up with any email.
  • Human-first, tech-light. In the Village, technology supports the visit. You do the thinking.

Questions people ask

Are you against AI?

No. We use AI ourselves. The danger isn’t the technology. It’s people losing the habits of thinking, connecting, and choosing for themselves. We help people use AI as a coach, not a crutch.

Why a physical park instead of another app?

Because the skills AI erodes (focus, judgment, empathy, handling conflict) are built in person, with other people. Another screen can’t fix a screen-shaped problem.

What makes your approach different?

Since 2010 we’ve collected real data connecting personality, the choices people made, and how their lives changed. The Village uses it to personalize each visit around what has actually worked for people like you.
