My parents never show any gesture of appreciation or happiness on my achievements and this make me feel very sad and sometimes long hours of silent cries with depressive thoughts. How can I overcome this and are these thoughts normal?

Wait I thought this only happens to me. You know it is ok to cry because you have been strong for too long that's why you are crying. My parents wouldn't even talk to me. When i get home from school both of them will be around my brother asking how day was. When i sit down to talk to them about anything they either wouldn't listen or go from there. Overcoming this situation is really hard cause it took me 4 years to realize this and accept it fully. These thoughts are normal when you know you didn't do anything wrong. I used cry till I get my panic attacks in the middle of the night. Crying can help you release the stress. But having intense thoughts like killing yourself comes it isn't worth it. Just accept the fact that they can never show any that kind of gestures to you instead find other people who appreciate you for it.
