Not every slight, opening, or argument deserves you. Walking away keeps your energy for the contest that changes something.

Ask what you gain if you win, and what it costs to fight. If both answers are small, leave it. Wisdom here is selection, not toughness.

Use it. Before you engage, say the gain out loud. If you cannot name one that matters, walk away.
