Avoid prolonged conflict
A long struggle spends the energy you needed for the next thing. Both sides get worse while it drags. A good plan looks for a clear end: a decision, a settlement, or a clean exit.
Dragging an argument, a project, or a grudge past that point is the loss, even if you seem to win later. Length is a cost.
Use it. Set a point where you will decide, settle, or leave. When you reach it, do that.
